Doncaster Danum Scout Band Joins Forces with Local Self Storage Company
Doncaster Danum Scout Band, Doncaster’s premier marching band, is pleased to announce a new sponsorship agreement with local self storage company, ready steady store. Ready steady store, located on Wheatley Hall Road, is providing the marching band with a much needed outdoor practice venue.
With the band residing in such a prominent location it hopes to increase its membership as it is now easily accessible to existing and potential new members. The band will meet for the first time at the new practice venue this Tuesday evening from 6.30pm to 9.00pm come rain or shine.
Throughout the year the band performs at many events and competitions organised by The British Youth Band Association, BYBA. Doncaster Danum Scout Band recently competed on Saturday 18 July at Barnsley and is pleased to announce they came 3rd in their class. It is hoped the band can build on its success making best use of the practice venue on Wheatley Hall Road.
John Green, Bandmaster, says: ‘This is a great opportunity provided by ready steady store, their central location is easily accessible to all members in the band regardless of their location in the Doncaster Borough. It is refreshing to be supported by a business which is actively looking to promote our youth activity. We so desperately needed space to practice our marching routines and ready steady store have provided that much needed area’

At ready steady store we encourage and fully support youth activities within the local community. It will be very rewarding to see the band develop their skills and grow as a group over the coming months’.
